One of the best lenses I've ever had. My lens is a little bit on the softer side, especially when using a range of 450-500, even on f/8, but overall it is a great lens. Thanks to the shop and their support. I wanted to return it bc I thought I bought the wrong one, and they responded quickly. I left the lens for myself. And this was the right decision. It's super for bird shooting, some nature and flower pictures, and even landscapes. It is not as universal as 50-400, but can reach farther.

  • Super versatile and nice quality

This lens is starting to spoil me with how versatile it is, sure it doesn't have much of a max aperture but it makes up with great autofocus and being able to cover so many situations with its range.

  • Need more time with the lens

I've only had this lens for a short time but overall I am happy with it. The only odd thing I've found about it is that the focus ring and the zoom ring are reversed from where Sony puts them and where I have found them on Sigma and even other Tamron lenses. It takes a little time to get accustomed to that change. Also, focus seems a bit slow at times.
