I bought this product, so that I could make custom length benches for my backyard prayer garden. The product came with the screws, so all I had to do was get the 2 X 4's, which I got treated ones, and then stained and water treated them. I wanted a 3' table so rather than bother cutting the wood myself - I bought 2 6' redwood 2x4s and had them cut (paid for one cut). Then I picked up a 30" 2x4 piece of scrap out of their "take it" bin - and I was done. I few pilot holes drilled....the whole thing took about 10-15 minutes (and I have absolutely no carpentry skills). Slapped a little Danish Oil on it - done. I also wanted to paint the two piece frame - so I used a spray paint the adheres to plastic and dries immediately before I assembled it. It sits right next to my BBQ and a matching red patio chair (I spray painted the frame red) I use it when BBQing and as a place to rest a drink when reading in the chair..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent quality and value. Makes a weather resistant bench or table easy! I adapted it for using a wakeboard as the top. Also substituted stainless steel screws since we live on the Gulf coast. May buy a second set to build another bench but use old snow ski’s. Simple but extremely sturdy!

Easy to use
What a simple way to make any bench or mini table. 2x4's start at about 4 bucks a piece and are not included. You need 4 pieces up top with a smaller one to stabilize it in the middle. I made a 3 foot long one and the four pieces up top are 3 feet long and the one in the middle is 30 inches. This will be great once it is stained with weatherproof stain that is well needed here in Tahoe. I recommend a power drill and skill saw. Pad sander to smooth it out. Great product

Just add the wood,I added 6 ,8ft. pieces of cedar 2x4s and gave it 3 coats of varnish,the good stuff and have 4 boards on top ,one support between the legs and small supports under the 2x4s to keep the boards from twisting or curling on the ends.
