much needed help to a "less-than-strong" person!
I injured myself on the job, in October of 2015. I now have very little use of my right hand, and I am right handed! I can no longer pull back my crossbow, so I ordered this device! my index finger is the only one that works decent, and my thumb has some use. the other three fingers will not open fully, and I have very limited grip with my right hand! when I received my Barnet rope cocking device, I was able to pull the string back twice , once I read the instructions! Works the way it should! Great quality!
I've probably used mine a couple hundred times and so far no problems! I don't get the impression I'll ever have to buy another. I should point out that this cocking device has the rollers on the inside of the hook which is an amazing feature. When you're pulling up on it, the rollers help balance the pull weight on each hands, so it's perfectly lined up. I would definitely recommend. The Barnett Rope Cocking Device works great on my Barnett Jackal crossbow. I shortened the overall length by about 8-9 inches which makes the whole cocking process much easier. The clips that latch onto the string have rollers to reduce friction when pulling. This is a well thought out/designed quality device that should give you many years of service. Worth the money
I've had this rope cocker for 1 month and used it multiple times. It works great on my TenPoint Titan SS. After seeing a demo on Youtube, I saw that for me (6'1"), it was too long, so I shortened it in short increments until I got the length that I wanted. I did not want to be pulling it much above my waist because it gets awkward pulling it chest high. Anyway, it is good quality, fairly priced and works great.
