Good camera with a few drawbacks
This is cameras primary use is surveillance. Although it could be used for hunting also. To view photos you need to plug in to a viewer or PC. Just removing the SD card does not work. So that could run into some issues. Also the PC operating system needs to be MS Vista, MS 7. Be sure to read the operating manual prior to purchase.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Three Eyes Doesn't Make It Better
This model has 150 degree field of vision, I've been using the three picture snapshot selection, this allows for movement of the target, yet more than 50% of the time nothing is captured by the camera. The day time pictures are great if you use the 8MP setting, using the 5 MP setting produces OK quality pictures. However, the night pictures at 8MP are grainy and at 5MP the pictures are worthless. No, I wouldn't recommend this to hunters, as for value, it was worth the price paid, as I've seen worst quality from other cameras. The quality of the product so far has been satisfactory. MOULTRIE Trace Perimeter P-150 game trail camera
I bought this for a different reason than hunting. We use it to make sure that if someone breaks into our home if we are away from home for any amount of time, they are captured on film. We've used it several times since it was purchased. Last September, November, and December, we were away from home for periods of time between 10 days and 4 weeks. With a 32G memory card, it picked up every time someone came into the house. Our neighbor came every couple of days to check on our cat while we were gone, and it captured her coming and going every time. It records in black and white but it's easy to identify the person. It operates on either D cell batteries or uses a standard cellphone cable to an outlet, You can put a lock on the door at the bottom which takes you to the controls as well as the memory card, so if someone wants to break into it, it's pretty hard to do. It costs much less than an entire surveillance camera set-up does and it is very capable of picking up potential burglars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

How good is the picture?
Unfortunately, The first night that I set this camera up, my shop was broken into and I assume that the burglar saw the red led light up when it took his picture so he took the camera with him! I never even got to see one picture the camera took. Fortunately I had a Perimeter Trace camera sitting on top of the refrigerator that he didn't see! It saw him and provided a portrait that I posted on Facebook and that got me the thief's name and where he worked . He is now in jail serving a 4 year sentence. Panoramic all the way!!!

Night Camera
Bought this camera to see what comes to visit in my yard at night. The pictures are very clear, and the set-up is very simple!
