Did not work for my dark hard wood floors

venerable old product works wonders on those white scratches
This venerable old scratch remover was used by both my mother and my grandmother. Essentially, it's just a mixture of oil based furniture polish and a very dark wood stain. But it works like magic at removing those new scratches that have cut through the dark finish and revealed the light colored wood beneath. Just apply a small amount (it doesn't take much at all) to an old cotton cloth (a discarded t shirt works well). And rub it onto the surface. The oil and stain mixture will find its way into the white scratch and the results are immediate. After a move into a new house or apartment, this stuff is invaluable for touching up those inevitable furniture scratches. Just make sure to discard the cloth after using since the stuff will definitely stain anything it comes into contact with and it will not wash out.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very useful to restore dark furniture
Works even in one application, two would be ideal, just my kitchen is more red, so i stopped after one treatment so that its not too dark. I had cracks in the wood finishing, now, colorwise, its not notisable anymore. I would advise to wear gloves when applying it. I have used regular cotton balls, works fine.
