It's a case vent. They get old and break. Unfortunately to replace in intrusive. Installing a shift kit so this should be a natural part of that job. Came quickly. Not cheap for a piece of plastic tubing. Thanks again.

  • It's what GM used, good enough for me

It's a vent tube and has barbs that grab when shoved into the vent hole. To get broke plastic tube out of case use a screw that just fits into tube, screw it into tube until you've got a good grasp and use leverage and work it a little to remove from case. I had to trim the first 1/32" of new tube off with a razor blade to get started into case then used a pick/ small phillips screwdriver that fit tube inserted to stiffen plastic enough to work into case. I had to round up some small washers to build up to tube once started to get vent tube to bottom in case. Position tube so it is pointing down. Buy once, cry once. If this is what you need I doubt if you could get anything else short of drilling and tapping the case to work. This AC Delco vent tube worked very well for me.
