Nice tight fit and looks original
I used it to place the one on my existing boat seat pedestal. I added a sunken foot feet pan to my electric trolling motor making my existing post to tall so I cut off 3" off the existing post. I got in a hurry and cracked my existing bushing when taking it off as I had already shorten the post about 5 years ago, So I ordered the Springfield Marine Taper-lock bushing and was a nice tight fit going onto my existing seat post. Pretty easy install
