Oxygen Sensor Works
The main issues with replacing the sensor in my Toyota Highlander we're finding the connector under the carpet under the driver's seat. The seat in moved by prying off the plastic covers over the bolts and removing 4 bolts. I had to extend some already existing slits in the carpet to get my hands onto the connector. Under neath the car the sensor is removed by taking off two nuts that were so corroded they broke apart. I used a little penetrating oil to get them started. Installation of the new sensor required new nuts. I used the plastic insert lock nut type. Fortunately, there was enough good thread on the studs to fasten the new nuts. I have now driven ~1000 miles and the check engine light is still off.
