GM Front Hood Lift Supports - 1984 Buick Riviera
Quick delivery, reasonable price. Claim to be OEM but the cylinders are thicker than my original supports, and I am original owner. Made in Mexico. One fit perfectly on hood hinges, but second one was too long, and it was very difficult to shorten it enough to fit on the fully stretched hood hinges. Had to try to compress it with a sledge hammer, but eventually shortened it by about 1/4 inch, which was enough to get it on the fittings.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sachs SG430001 Hood Struts
Installed them on my 1991 Z28 with factory steel hood. Right out of the box they wouldn't hold hood open at full extension, maybe 3/4 extension at best and if I walked away for an hour or two the hood would be half shut. Pulled these off and went to Autozone and bought their in stock hood struts and they work like a dream. Hood stays fully opened all day long if I want.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality in a inexpensive lift shock. I was "shocked" when I put them on as I didn't realize how bad my last struts were.
