I tied 3 different, new "OEM-Equivalent" aftermarket spider injector assemblies (NOT from Motor Man) - GP Sorenson, Autoline, Standard Motor- always with the same result: Hard starts, rough idle, poor fuel economy and a constant "Check Engine" light.. courtesy of code P1351! I'm back.....
Recent review 7-30-17. Well I installed the MPFI unit just to see MPG would increase... Well unfortunately I don't see an increase yet... Would admit I've been driving my Tahoe everyday with the AC on... City/highway driving... Highest recording MPG on OEM CSFI was15.58... People have reported 2-3 MPG increase since they converted over to MPFI. Could be true just that maybe they had a problem with the original CSFI poppet unit... I'm not saying that the MPFI is a bad unit. I just don't see an MPG increase yet...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Made my truck run better than new

MPFI conversion GM 88-98 from SPFI
Arrived within two weeks from Canada. Part was exactly as listed (new). Part was OEM GM in the box complete. Came with gaskets and bracket. Installed in 2 1/2 hours, and cleared up the idle, gave better gas mileage (15 to 19 highway), and cleared the check engine light for PA inspection/emissions. Acdelco is the brand to buy..
Replaced old spider injection system with this mpfi and it makes a difference right away. Fuel usage goes down pep in the engine goes up. It's not for an amateur on vehicle repair because it can be tricky. This is recommended by GM to replace their failure of a design on the factory fuel injection. Yes they are expensive but do yourself a favor and replace it if your vehicle is high mileage.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best case fix for a bad situation.
Replacing injectors, or even a fuel regulator in a vortec can be pretty daunting. Something doesn't work or fit and you may be on foot the next day. This worked out to be the best choice, updated injectors that were backwards compatible and simple to swap. No longer does the Tahoe smell like it is pumping fuel instead of burning it. After the first start of the day, I would have to hold the pedal to the floor to give the engine enough Air in the mix to start and the fuel mileage was horrible. Fuel mileage has seen a huge improvement and response is as good as new. Instantly starts now. And then the lack of the nag light on the dash is also a plus. Any approach to this job is spendy, but I am glad I took this route, not knowing what was under the upper intake before I ordered.
