vital resource with nifty narratives
All useful information - yet the fun is in teasing out the information. The chapters are a bit narrative - skimming does not work - So I learn more than I thought I would. Like all herbalists, he has his preferred herbs - and some of the stories are a tad on the melodramatic - This was an important book that started me on the path to herbalism decades ago - repurchasing it is a bit like a reunion with a long lost friend. A vital resource that everyone ought to have who wishes to study herbalism.

Are you an outdoors person?
The only thing that would have made this better is if it had good pictures of each herb. It is a valued book in our home and always has been, I suppose you could look up pictures of each with google. Valuable for the outdoors person.
