Sturdy, reliable and non-leaking fuel cans
With the exception of the CARB/EPA nozzle, these cans are just short of bulletproof. Unlike the metal US military cans, these just don't leak. I prefer storing them upright, but they are equally leakproof laying on their sides. Wavian has several videos on YouTube demonstrating the tests they pass, such as dropping them from heights and even lighting them on fire. I would even go so far as to say they are likely superior to the Scepter cans currently used by the military. This basic design has been in use since they were designed in the 1930's and is a time-proven design. Again, ensure you are purchasing a real Wavian can. There is plenty of knock-offs being offered for sale, but they are not the same, and quite possibly dangerous. The real Wavians have a recessed perimeter weld and are made out of a relatively heavy gauge metal. The knockoffs have a protruding perimeter weld and will not sit level. Additionally, they are of a thinner gauge metal and easily dent and crush. I highly doubt they would pass the Wavian drop or fire tests. Current legislation requires use of the CARB/EPA nozzles. However, there are a number of vendors selling pre-regulation nozzles if you prefer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice can, replaced nozzle with a Safety Siphon
Expensive at $80 is a shocking amount of money to pay for a can. PLUS, to make this thing work properly, I had to buy a Safety Siphon at $15 to avoid the “push to pour” ridiculousness of the CARB-mandated nozzle. Once that CARB nozzle is removed, this is an excellent can. I can't imagine anything better. Seals completely tight; not a drop spilled after filling up and putting it in my back seat - literally couldn't smell a thing. Easy to use, mission accomplished.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You get what you pay for with a Wavian Jerrycan, very high quality product. Can't beat the strength and finish of this product. Never have to worry about this Jerry Can leaking even during an extreme off-roading experience on a hot sunny day. I have several of these for years and never had a bad experience. Won't leak in any position when closed tightly. Pour well and fast with no air guggling. You won't go wrong purchasing this gas can. I recommend adding a wire tie to the spout if you are carrying this in a off road vehicle. I've had other jerry cans that have let me down when off-roading and hot days.
