Philips Norelco 6800. Great shave.
Had a Braun 790cc-4 Series 7 that I got to replace an older Philips Norelco Series 2000 which did not have the Multi-Direction Flex Heads. I was constantly disappointed with the Braun shave. No matter what I tried I couldn't get a close shave. I finally switched to the Philips with the Multi-Direction Flex Heads for a great price of under $70.00. A world of difference. For my beard this is the best electric shave I have ever gotten. Two problems though. 1. They put the on off switch right were you hold the razor when shaving so I am always turning the shaver off while I am shaving. 2. The cradle to charge is very flimsy so I purchased a replacement holder from China that works great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

still looking for the best shaver!!
Well, hard for me to get use to a rotary shaver. It works much differently than a foil shaver. I had been using Panasonic foil and had to buy new blades and head couple times a year. Very expensive. So I wanted to try a Norelco and this one had so many good reviews. It takes a long time to shave with this shaver, 10 to 15 minutes. I have to keep going over and over the same areas so many times. And it still leaves stubble. especially on the neck and jaw line. Then I have to go get my Panasonic to finish the job. So I am really trying to get use to it. Bought it really cheap and it was new. I love norelco shavers my previous one was about 30 years old and they discontinued replacement heads, and the battery would not hold a charge for more than a week. A significant downgrade from the 7340.
I bought one of these to replace my 7340 XL. The 6800 has to be cleaned after each use, and it is extremely fiddly to do so. Shaving performance is slightly worse than the 7340. Norelco razors seem to get cheaper over time, and less effective.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
