Hand-Held FLIR Viewer
I had been trying to get one for a few years, but the prices were always too high. I got one for about $250 (new), and was very pleased with the unit. The only bad bit of design is that the POWER icon is grayed out, and frankly invisible, so I spent 20 minutes trying to turn it on after charging it. operationally, it is great, I wanted to use it to detect hot spots in electronic designs, and it is ideal. not a lot of image detail, but very good for this kind of application. Having a usable thermal detector for electronics is incredibly handy, and worth this price point, but not so ideal at $500+. keep in mind, this is a close in viewer, NOT for distant objects.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product with some limitations.
Works well but the temperature measurement is separate from the video display. The area of the temperature measurement is a few inches in diameter at close range <12" so it will average over a good part of the video screen. I'm not sure why Flir does not take the temperature measurement off the video, rather than a separate point detector. Seems like all the flir handhelds do this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
