Rebuild reverse motor for 2016 Harley Freewheeler.
My husband’s 2016 Harley Davidson Freewheeler’s reverse motor did not work for months. HD wanted $1400 for the part! Our technician said they could rebuild it for $750. Then I remembered that our dealership said that they don’t make the armrest/console or console latch anymore for our 2016 Chevrolet Suburban and even if they did it would be $675!! That’s when I went on EBay and received a whole new console for $57.99 that I installed myself and it is perfect. So, I got a rebuild kit for the Harley for $181, took it to my technician, and when we took it out of the box we were amazed that it was all together as one piece. It took a little over an hour for him to install which saved him quite a bit of time and us a lot of money! I can’t thank EBay enough. Parts arrived quickly. All parts were a perfect fit and went in easily. Replaced the armature, brushes and solenoid. For the price and the time to pull the reverse motor that was a no brainer. Appear to be as good or better than the original parts. You could rebuild your reverse motor 10 times for what Harley wants for a new reverse motor. I would definitely buy again if I needed to.
