Kingston SSDNow V300 SSD Drives
I've started replacing all of my disk drives with these, using mostly 120Gb, but also have a 60 & a 240 as well. Really speeded up my Dell D620 laptop, not using the SATA III capabilities but still is much faster. Produces less heat and also requires less power to operate. Tried using different Windows settings to improve performance, checked some different posts on the web, but on the most part they just install and go. Sticking with Windows 7, but could probably get even better performance using 8 & 10, 7 just suites my needs the best. Made my 4.5 year old laptop like new!
I have a 2011 MacBook Pro that originally came with a 300 GB hard disk drive. For several months my computer was laggy at almost every function...opening Microsoft Word took about 2 minutes. After installing this, I can boot my computer in under 20 seconds, open Word in 5 seconds, and do almost everything with no waiting whatsoever. My battery life is much improved as well. This was very easy to install. It's basically plug and play. I've been using this for just a couple weeks so far but I have not had any issues with it. Running in USB 3.0 case
Kingston has been providing memory for many years and has been very reliable. There Solid State Drives should have the same quality of which is an indication of my use for the past few days. I installed Ubuntu 19,04 on this drive and installed inside a USB 3.0 case and attached it to an external eSata port on my laptop. It response has been quick for such a small drive. I am looking to add a few more of these drives to my system as I am condensing the amount of bulky computer equipment I have. THE SWEETSPOT .... BANG FOR THE BUCK
I am using this model Hard drive in 2 desktops and one laptop, ( the laptop is an old core 2 CPU designed for Win XP but now running win7-64bit) all 3 PC's were rejuvenated. The two desktops came with win7 and boot in half the time.. Very good quality for the price
I bought 2 of these 1 for my wife's laptop and 1 for a our living room media center PC. I got them for the main obvious reason anyone buys a ssd, too speed it up lol. Both are for sure faster than the original hdd's in the 2 computers, I can say though I have an OCZ ARC100 240gb, and in everyday speeds and benchmarks the ARC100 blows these outta the water. I got my ARC100 for like $40 over a year ago now and not for a lack of trying was not able to find another even close to that price. I read TONS of reviews and statements and came to the conclusion that these maybe not as fast as my other, BUT..... They get the job done and reliably also. They might not bust out super speeds like some of the top brands but for the price they are perfect for someone on a budget and doesn't wanna break the bank but also doesn't wanna buy something junk. Best for older computers.
I have a Mac mini that uses this ssd via 1395a - firewire. Full speed!. I have the OS running off of it, and it is a major speed improvement. Barely any wheel of death now. I would put this inside the Mac, but the Mac belongs to the company that I work for. FYI: 1395a = 300Mb Max, SSD= 400M bW/R Max -something like that anyway.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality drive
I have installed 9 of these drives so far in laptops, desktops and even one in a server as the boot drive. These drives aren't the fastest out there but they are the most expensive either. These make a great upgrade to an older PC to make it seem fast again. Fast and Quiet
