Made to fit
When our washer quit, I assumed we would need to replace the whole machine. After finding out this switch was bad, I ordered it and once it came, cut & spliced it into the existing wiring (to much trouble taking the whole machine apart) I left enough wire and soldered them together & used shrink tubing to seal the splice. I also used the sleeve that came with it to keep the wires from hanging down in the machine by taping it to the inside of the frame with Gorilla tape. Replacement Perfection!
This item was exactly what our older Kenmore 70 Series top load washer needed to rejuvenate the lid switch mechanism. And at a very nice price too! While it didn't come with any instructions ( I didn't expect it to ) there are some really good YouTube videos on the process that made the job simple and fast. The actual repair took less than 15 minutes, its that easy! The grounding cable was about 5 inches shorter than the original, but still plenty long enough for the job (with less consumption of resources, thus a good change!)

This is just too easy to replace

Direct replacement
Direct replacement of the original part. Easy to install if you remembered how you took out the original and have the patience to put the clothes washer back together again. I didn't take the washer apart and the existing part was already removed. But when the new part came in, I figured out where it needed to go and found videos on the interweb to confirm I had it installed correctly and how to line up the washer frame back on the base.
