Very good scanner but should include other negative sizes.

The Kodak scanner is very well made and very well designed apart from the fact that it should include the possibility of scanning other negative sizesv like 120, Minox, 110 and perhaps 127. Not everybody uses or has used only 35mm, and even if you use this film size, there are some photos sizes that are different from the standard 24 x 36 such as the half frame and the panoramic Widelux negative. I myself have more than 2000 120 size negatives, some 1000 Minox and a few 127 film size. Apart from this, the scanner provides excellent results and the Kodak software is easy to use. As for more accurate photo corrections, you should transfer the photos from your cellphone to a computer and finish any corrections with any photo software like Photoshop. Needless to say, in order to get good results, your cellphone should have a high quality camera. Fortunately, most of them have excellent cameras these days. Good luck, greetings from Colombia EDUARDO

Kodak Mobile Scanner - Don't buy it! Save your money!

Silly me. I should've known better. I'm always telling my son, "You get what you pay for." This "scanner" is made of cardboard and is cheaply built. You have to slide the phone around the top of the scanner and make a best guess as to whether the picture is centered. Since the distance from the camera to the slide /film is set, getting a sharp, focused picture is almost impossible. I didn't return the item and took the responsibility of making a terrible choice. Save your money and pay a professional company to scan and digitize your slides or negatives. Good luck!

  • Good Way to View 36mm Negatives

It’s just so much more convenient to be able to look at negatives, then take a picture of them to preserve. My only complaints are 1) Kodak needs to use better glue because a couple pieces fell off 2) it’s a little hard to slide a negative through, 3) I wish you could also view 110 and 126 negatives, and 4)the hole is for a much older iPhone but still works. Overall, I’m satisfied, but think it’s overpriced.

  • Not What I Hoped For

This would be good if you're going over to Grandma's house and have a few negatives to scan, The product is designed for use with an iPhone, so it was a little awkward with my Samsung. It seems to be intended for use with slides more that film negatives. The holder area doesn't slot the negative well so you have to fuss with it while taking the picture.

  • Nice product.

If it provided a means to secure the smartphone in position while using it, I would have awarded it a five star rating.

  • Slide/negative scanner: a platform and light for use with a phone camera

The scanner is a platform to hold a phone in place. It provides rear illumination to the slide or negative. A cell phone provides the camera/scanner, so resolution and color depend on the apps installed there. It handles only one slide or negative strip at a time. It is a completely manual process.

  • Worked Perfectly on 40 year old slides

Easy to set up and use. Worked as well as the $200 scanner my family member bought. Really depends on the quality of your phone camera but it worked great with my cheap go phone.

  • Did not work for me.

Works only as well as your cell phone. My Moto GP colors were way off and required extensive Photoshop fix-up.

  • DOES A GREAT JOB AFFORDABLY!

Very easy to put together. Manual explains all. Output is amazing and use is very easy. The best part is the price! Other products cost 2-3 times the price. Buy this first and see.
