A darker side to Shakespeare
A classic play done with a twist. Great actors with the dialogue staying true to the play. Although it's Shakespeare, this one is not for kids. Several scenes of violence as well as just this side of explicit sex shown. If you are familiar with Titus from reading Shakespeare watching this adaption will be easier to follow. Interesting film
Good film with some twists. The whole movie is spoken in Shakespearean type language, which can make it a little hard to follow. But it was still a compelling story. Brilliant and imaginative
Although Julie Taymour's production includes certain modern aspects in the production (which I find antithetical to performing most Shakespeare) they didn't intrude excessively to this otherwise highly entertaining and imaginative production.
