Does the job
It's made kind of cheap, but works alright. It's a bit of a pain turning it on and off. You also have to take it apart after every use in case water has leaked into the unit during use. Good for a back up or if it is your only choice.
I was very disappointed with this vacuum. I had to return it for replacement twice so I actually had three of these and they were all three exactly the same. They do a fair job of getting debris off the bottom of the pool but you have to go slow so it takes a while. The filter bag is too big, it bunches up which means you have to empty frequently. It also makes it harder to close the top. The top is very easy to knock loose spilling debris back into the pool. It is extremely difficult to turn off and on. It takes 5 D cell batteries which have to be replaced often. Considering all the batteries that have to be purchased during pool season the $50 price for this is not really a bargain at all. In the end, buying one of the more expensive vacuums will actually save you time and your sanity.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good idea--easy to use!
I have a 12' round above-the-ground pool. Dirt gets in the wrinkles in the bottom and the 'broom' makes a great difference. I really like it. However, a bigger pouch would be MUCH better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Aqua Broom Immediately Broke
I was very, very disappointed and unhappy with this purchase. The quality was so poor that the head broke off before the first use. I was loading the batteries as per instruction and when I went to lower it to the floor the entire head cracked from the pole and broke off making it unusable . So the purchase was a complete loss. The broken vacumn sits in a box broken and unusable and my money is down the drain. I would not advise anyone purchase this item. I was in the middle of having my deck resurfaced and did not try to return it which is what should have been done and now it is probably too late to get anything done. Very, Very disappointing purchase. The plastic used does not seem strong enough to support the head and connecting rod once the batteries are installed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good suction, easy to use.
Bought this for my portable spa to pick up sand and debris from the bottom and it works very well. Good suction and quality seems quite good. Also easy to clean after use. Only complaint I have is the on-off switch. You twist the whole body to turn it on and it tightens against the seal. This makes it difficult to turn it back once the unit is wet. Handy pool product -- quick/easy solution for pool debris on bottom
The product performs as described. Product vacuums up siilt, sand, small bugs, pine needles pretty well. Battery life closer to 2.5hrs rather than 3hrs. Batteries need removal after each use. The optional added filter sack too long -- not customized for this uniit. Wish net pouches held more debris. Wish "one" of each of the optional filters were included to try. Plastic housing and pole adapter look like they might crack if unit is dropped. Need a bit more detailed instructions on product setup. Took me awhile to figure out the on/off function. Useless so-called vacuum
I purchased this for my spa, specifically to remove baking soda that had been added to adjust the PH. The soda didn't all become soluble and settled over the entire bottom creating a white coating. After brushing it, it still didn't get picked up through the filter and still left unsightly white residue everywhere. With great anticipation, I received this vacuum, and attempted to suck up the loose white particulate. It picked up absolutely nothing! LOVE this Vacuum
Easy to use! Does a fantastic job and a fantastic price! I purchased this vacuum to clean my above ground 12 ft pool. The pool has been up since June 2016, I have just been using a leaf skimmer and the pool filtration system to keep it clean. Unfortunately the build up of grit and rock bits accumulated so much that my skin was getting chafed from rubbing the bottom of the pool. I needed something that would suck that stuff up. I started looking for spa vacuums, I looked at this one a couple of times but some of the reviews made me worry about the quality, installing the filter and battery life. Well I have to tell you, purchasing this vacuum was the best thing I ever did! The quality is really nice, the filter is so easy to install (I used the included two filter bags at the same time), remove and clean and I am still going strong on the initial batteries. I have cleaned my pool three times since I received it last week. The first cleaning was the longest of course because I had almost a year of summer/fall/winter dirt/grime to get up off the bottom. Pool cleaner for quick messes
I found it a little hard to turn on the pool cleaner as it is difficult to twist the whole mouth piece. It sucks up most debris that I needed it for, so the job got done. I bought this Aqua Broom a month ago and have used it several times. It picks up everything including sand and to my surprise it even picked up large leaves! Each time I use it I just through the batteties in twist on the top and vacuum. After I'm finished I take out the batteries and set them in the laundry room and set the to peices out to dry. Keep the neck and base separated till dry do this and you will not have any problems with battery corrosion.
