An elusive madman has the citizens of Washington State locking their doors. Just when it begins to seem as if the killer will never get caught, however, a young woman named Helen "Hel" Remus' (Amy Davidson) has a chance encounter with the Green River Killer that leaves her forever changed. Meanwhile, local Sheriff David Reichert (Tom Cavanagh) puts both his family and career on the line to see that justice is served.
