This is a handy device to get for your netbook. The device does not require any special driver installations, and runs on the power from your USB while also proving decent on how well it scans your DVDs and CDs. Your netbook might not have software that is set for playing DVDs, so installing a basic shareware program for this will take you no time and works great. The device has basic functions. Once you close the lid, it plays the DVD. To stop it, press stop, but you can leave the disc in there, if you want. It's lightweight and works well. It will make a good accessory to your computer. Also, if you are copying discs, and need a secondary drive, this will let you scan with one optical drive and burn with the other.
