Not for bridge cameras
I bought this tripod for use with a bridge camera (Canon SX-60) after reading that it could support the weight. While it can do so without tipping as long as the lens isn't extended too far, the main problem is that the legs don't lock while extended, and collapse down from the weight of the camera. It is very well made and solid, however, and think it would be ideal with a smaller, point-and-shoot camera.

Best mini tripod
When I finally took the mini tripod out, it felt a little heavy which is a good thing because it means the tripod isn't cheaply made. Also the ring that holds the camera is also made out of metal and that kept my dlsr camera in place. I wish I could've gotten this product years ago. Really happy with it!
