Jordan Brand and La Flame pull out the Mocha reverse card for this one

After the debut of Travis Scott’s Nike Air Max 1 and Nike Air Trainer 1 collab earlier in the year; he’s back for an even more significant drop halfway through 2022. It’s none other than the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha arriving on July 21, 2022. But unlike the previous Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 releases, this pair has no high-top counterpart. However, there’s another TS x Air Jordan 1 Low also expectedly dropping later on in the year.

With just a few weeks before the official launch, check out the recently surfaced official photos of the shoe. This is definitely the biggest Travis Scott sneaker release of the year after taking a short hiatus. It looks like Cactus Jack and his Nike/Jordan sneakers are now in full swing; making up for all the postponements and time lost during his 2021 Astroworld controversy.

First previewed on-feet Travis Scott himself, the Reverse Mocha colorway eventually set out for a release.

This is the follow-up to the three-way collab between Travis Scott, Jordan, and Fragment from the previous year; except there is no Air Jordan 1 High in this Reverse Mocha rendition. But even then, the news about a July 2022 launch excited a lot of fans and sneakerheads.

The Reverse Mocha colorway takes the pigments of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Mocha and switched the color placements. White now dominates the crisp leather overlays, while mocha brown makes up the suede vamp and midfoot panels.

Retained on the overall TS design is his reverse Swoosh on the lateral sides; where it appears in Sail White hues to match the laces and cupsole. Brand labels come in red and stand out on the tongue and heel areas where Jordan logos and Cactus Jack’s imprint appear.

More Travis Scott and Jordan Brand logos add design to the brown sockliner. The outsole finishes things off and appears in mocha brown.

Scheduled for a July 21, 2022 release; the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha will also come in a full family size run for the whole family. This is going to be another tough launch as a lot of people will try to cop a pair.

Resell Value of the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha

Just like most Travis Scott x Air Jordans, this will definitely go over thousands of dollars. It’s extremely limited, with rumors saying there are less than 100k pairs worldwide. Sneakerheads will be trying their best to cop a pair either to rock them or sell them for thousands. Either way, the latest TS Air Jordan drop will be bigger than ever.

The fact that there is no High version shows that all eyes will be on this low-top pair; making the hype reach greater heights as the release date approaches.

Since then, the value kept climbing and never looked back; with no signs of declining anytime in the next 12 months.

Why did Nike and Jordan Brand postpone Travis Scott sneakers?

Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha 4

Back in November 2021, Travis Scott was caught in a controversy during his own Astroworld concert. The tragic event caused some of his sponsorships to cease their deals with him; while other brands like Nike had to temporarily suspend all upcoming Travis Scott collabs. Half a year later, Nike released a Travis Scott collection for the first time since the postponement with the Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1 Cactus Corporation.

The upcoming Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha will be the first Air Jordan release since 2021’s triple-collab with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design imprint.

Nike and Jordan Brand are making up for lost time with all these Travis Scott collab sneakers releasing in a short amount of time.

Another Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low in 2022?

Aside from the Reverse Mocha, another unannounced TS x J1 Low will be coming in late 2022. According to some sources, there are still no actual pictures and colorway name for the shoe.

With no official information yet, fans can keep their eyes peeled as the news will likely appear once the Reverse Mochas drop.

Speculations say that it’s going to be the White Grey and Black pair worn by Travis Scott back in October 2021; but there’s no confirmation about it at this point. And just like the Reverse Mocha, it’s going to be a Low with no High counterpart.
