Explore the Sizing of Yeezy Slides

The adidas Yeezy line of sneakers has had a grasp on sneakerheads and everyday consumers since 2015. Creating trendsetting footwear is the name of the game, and with that comes various styles of shoes, such as the famous Yeezy Slide.

Yeezy Slides

In 2018, the owner of the Yeezy brand made waves by sporting a pair of slide-like shoes called the Yeezy Slipper. Curiously, they were a few sizes too small for his feet. He ignored critics, stating that it was a nod to the Japanese way of wearing them. This may explain how the current sizing works for Yeezy Slides. The Yeezy Slides as they are known today first debuted in 2019.

Sizing

During their years in production, the Yeezy Slides have been slowly transforming. With the ever-changing updates to the shoe, the sizing seems to be a bit inconsistent. It is also important to note that Yeezy Slides are only available in whole sizes.

For all options prior to the Ochres, released in July 2022, consumers require a full size (or half-size depending on original shoe size) up. So, if you normally wear a size 13, you would need to move up to a Yeezy Slide size 14.

In post-Ochre 2022 colorways, such as the Black Onyx, Bone, and Flax, the brand has gotten a bit closer to a true-to-size fit for those with a narrow to regular-size foot. However, for those with a regular to wide foot, sizing up will likely be the best option. Again, if your true shoe size had you leaning toward Yeezy Slides size 12, go ahead and opt for Yeezy Slides size 13 or even Yeezy Slides size 14 if you're looking for extra room.

Size Conversion

Yeezy Slides are offered in men’s/unisex sizing but can be converted into women’s sizing. At the base of it, women’s sizing should be calculated by subtracting one size to get the Yeezy Slide equivalent. So, a traditional women’s size 8 would not get a Yeezy Slides size 8, but a Yeezy Slides size 7. Then, if you have regular to wide feet, another size up would be necessary.
