    The vacuum was being sold at a discount - less than half the usual price - so I was suspicious. But the item description said "New" and the seller was reputable, so I bought it. The box clearly had been opened and then taped shut again, so this vacuum was a return. When I opened the box, the vacuum looked brand-new, but it did not work at all. It was DOA. I contacted the seller, who said I could return it for a refund. However, I am working with Hoover and hope they will resolve the problem
