I'm no expert, but using internet info tested it with some 91% alcohol. I put a small bit on toothpick, let it sit in alcohol, shook alcohol around a bit, then moved toothpick around and it did not dissolve as it is said genuine Shilajit will not dissolve in alcohol. Blackish as it should be. As far as I can tell as a layman genuine.
