  Mug is not ceramic at all, and the sale photo is a patchwork of the actual item and other items you aren't getting cobbled together. It is cute though and has a tiny metal liner for where the liquid goes. Doesn't light up like the sale photo either. HOWEVER. Communication was stellar and seller refunded including shipping, so I am pleased with the seller even if I was unhappy with the item.
