It had to take it to the jewelers to be repaired. The jeweler said this was just "costume jewelry" which I was surprised at, because it was supposedly a $500 piece, originally. The plastic jewelry box it came in was not very impressive and I had to switch it out to a more attractive box. I"m not an expert, but I think I overpaid for the bracelet.
