Modelworks Direct (www.modelworksdirect.com) fabricates wood models from scratch. Each model starts from a Block of wood and a set of Blueprints that are scaled to the right size. We spend an average of 300 to 500 hours on 1 model. It takes a 5 person team to fabricate each model. We specialize in Car Models, Aircraft Models, Ship models and Custom models. We can make any model in any size with any specification. They are 90 to 95% wood. Parts that cannot be made from wood are made of resin, metal, wire, plastics and composite materials. Since they are hand made and hand built. We charge $5 to $7 per hour. This includes labor, materials and sometimes shipping.
