For whatever reason, I had to pay the customs fees and receive the parcel in person. However, this is a local problem (Deutsche Post) and doesn't concern the seller. I only mention it here to make other buyers aware of the possible circumstances in Germany. So make sure that you are at home at the stated delivery time. ;-)
