  The pie plate was packaged really well and arrived in excellent condition. It was as described, and it was neat to get the original box. I got several pie plates when I got married in 1968, but do not remember them being in a box I probably overpaid with the cost of shipping, but it was worth it to have another one of these wonderful pie plates.
