My Sister’s Closet (MSC) was established in 1998 to build a stronger community by helping women in poverty and at-risk situations move forward and become self-sufficient. EVERY purchase in our store goes toward this mission.
Since 1998, MSC has helped over 2,800 women overcome obstacles such as homelessness, domestic violence, etc. Many are single mothers or grandmothers, who are also raising children. They lack transportation, crucial resources, critical support networks, basic life skills and/or education.
Known for working 1-on-1, we teach women how to remarket themselves so they are seen as credible, professional, and reliable job candidates. We guide these determined and courageous women to take critical steps, stand out, and be hired into better-paying jobs with benefits. Our efforts directly increase a woman’s ability to compete among other job seekers, find gainful employment, and eventually become self-sufficient.
