I can't seem to get away from the ski industry in one way or another; snowtools is a side gig for me, I buy used demo skis from a variety of sources, then grind/sharpen/wax before listing here on eBay.
There are lots of options out there when it comes to great deals on used demo skis; what sets me apart is the fact that I tune every single pair to as close to perfection as possible - they're ready to ski, with a better-than-new tune, which makes my skis a great value. They're ground flat, edges sharpened, then a good universal structure is put on the base with my Wintersteiger stone grinder, and finished off with a real hot wax - iron on, scrape, then brush by hand. In some cases, the tune alone is worth as much as I'm asking for the ski and binding!
I photograph and make note of any blemishes, scrapes or damage, but every pair of skis I list is ready to ski. Most of my skis are between one and five seasons old, and ready for several more!
