  Vintage scales are ubiquitous on eBay. Most of the ones that have passed the century mark--or close to it--show their age. Not only did the detailed photos for this one show me exactly what I was getting, it was packaged with a great care, and shipped at a reasonable cost. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and attached the red platform; not only did the scale work all the way to the limit, when I released the weight, the needle went right back to zero!
