Welcome! The Store name was created when I inherited my Dad's lifetime collection (hoarding) of tens of thousands of ties he picked up at yard sales, rummage sales and flea markets over the past 50 or so years. Since I already sold vintage and antique items on eBay, Antiques and Ties was born!
My lifelong passion has always been California and Trenton Pottery, Advertising and Restaurant China. I started in the antique business in 1987 selling at flea markets and antique markets. it wasn't long after that I moved into my first Co-op antique store space and by the mid 1990s I had over 7 stores and ran an antique mail order business before the internet days. I specialized in California Pottery and Elegant Depression Glass. and eventually transitioned to an online platform
