Perfect for my bathroom
It's just what I wanted for the bathroom. No batteries needed, has battery status indicator, charge holds well, and crucially, will go loud enough to hear when you're in the shower. Has handle for carrying about and volume control is a knob you turn which I prefer to a push button. Only slight quibble is with the preset process which has too many stages but it's not a problem. I wouldn't recommend as a bedside radio as the display is very bright.Read full review

Far better than expected
My old workshop radio had died so I was searching for a digital radio to replace it. Looking for something not too large and reasonably priced and found this Azatom Spitalfields model so decided to chance it. Absolutely delighted with it and it far exceeded my expectations - the sound quality is brilliant and can be wound up to 11 with no appreciable distortion which for a radio of this size and price is amazing. I run it through mains power but it has a rechargeable battery which according to the manual will give between 4 - 6 hours play time so I can also use it as 'day out' radio if I want to. I found the menu a bit of a fiddle at first but fine when you get used to it and certainly not bad enough to deduct a star from the rating.
