The Real Deal...
This is a genuine Cummins part in its factory packaging, at the best price that I could find online. And it shipped for free by 2-day USPS Priority mail. My truck was becoming very difficult to start, would not idle until coolant temp reached 100 degrees (F), would die or surge whenever I would take my foot off of the throttle while driving. After some research online at the various forums I was convinced that the Fuel Control Actuator (FCA) was the problem. That proved to be correct. After installing the new part it starts, stops and runs like it should. Installation was fairly simple, with two notable exceptions. The heads of the T25 torx bolts are so close to the body of the FCA that I could only remove and install them using a slender torx bit (to fit a 1/4" driver). And one of the bolts is beneath the body of the FCA, where it can't be seen, so you need to access it by touch. Other than that, the whole job took less than 1/2 hour.Read full review

Not quite right.
This part was specified for my vehicle application as a direct replacement part. The part functioned like it should except it required extra cranking to get the engine started.
