Great little radio which picks up reception when other electric radios have sketchy reception or lost reception. There's a sense of security knowing that I don't have to be completely dependent upon electricity to hear alerts, weather updates, and local news. Solar Observer - happiness comes each time you turn it on!!!

6 stars of 5 - well earned bonus. This is my 2nd solar observer. The first died of a lot of dropping from ladders etc. MY FAULT! The extra strong antenna is the reason I returned to Solar Observer. I live in a bowl and reception is terrible - except for C Crane. I had months ago purchased 2 name brand pocket radios. Waste of $$$$.
