A blast from the past...

This movie was alot of fun. I had forgotten about special effects prior to Star Wars ( my 17 year old asked if the scorpions were photos attached to popsicle sticks and moved around) but the hordes of plated cockroaches were actually scary. All in all, a good movie to kick back with on a rainy Saturday with a bag of popcorn.

The last thing I'll say about it was that I was struck by the contrast of how hopeful it seemed for a post apocalyptic scenario (regardless of how illogical that might be) compared with more modern takes on the subject. That, was kind of refreshing.Read full review...
