Oughta get 2!
I have a 2004 and a 2018 Yamaha WR 250F. Both are street legal and I am using this switch for headlight/kill functions. Extremely well built and sustaining a lot of abuse. Third one I've purchased and probably should have gotten a backup one.. Certainly will soon! Read full review

Nice switch, but had one fatal flaw
Unfortunately I have bad news to report on this otherwise sterling part...this switch assembly is perfect for what I wanted it for- an “off-low beam-high beam” with a kill button to control the headlight and taillight on my 1994 XR100R. The “off -low beam- high beam “ switch worked great right out of the box. The wires/connections were perfect for my setup. Unfortunately, the kill button had no continuity when I checked it before installation (no matter how hard I pressed on it!) . Upon further inspection the one wire had come unsoldered from the plate that the button grounds to. Fairly simple and straightforward job for me to re-attach it, but might be an issue for someone with less experience and tools at hand. Works as it should after I fixed it, but kind of disappointing to have to fix a brand new part before being able to use it. It’s on now and doing exactly what I needed it for. To find the high beam is as hard as to get the right numbers in powerball. Even if you find it, don't mean it stays there.
