Work critical

I was having issues for about the last year plus. I as most of us work from home and try to balance money with performance. I had been using the standard rented Spectrum Wi-Fi router with little to not true reliable connectivity and very slow speed. We had the router moved with really no change. I purchased a economy Linksys router and still didn’t get what we needed. After a few months rolled the dice and attempted to exchange it fir a stronger router. Got a MR8300. It was better but I saw in the setup you could add a node. I knew knew that was what would help. Added the node as AC2200. That fixed my issues. After upgrading my internal Wi-Fi card not helping I now have dependable speed. I added one more AC2200 and complicated my VELOP Mesh Wi-Fi network. I also lucked into a VLP01v1 and my entire house is covered. This product is amazing and I can now reliably stay on task with no issues at all. Read full review...

Good value, version not disclosed

Purchased this to extend mesh network in a slow (not dead) spot in the house as the 4th node after bumping up to gig connection with two PC's on daily zoom sessions. I took off two stars as as this is a version 1 model and not disclosed (firmware was also not current and upon receipt the case was slightly opened as though it had either been serviced or refurbished (also not disclosed) which I had to figure out and address before I could set it up without errors).

Ultimately it works and my wife is using as an AP Bridge (simultaneous wifi and ethernet connection) and it does the job.

Quick, cheap and helped.

Velop works!!

My home is large and difficult to cover with a single WiFi router. I had been using a number of separate access points, but our equipment would lose connectivity if it decided to switch between one access point and another - with the Mesh VELOP, those transfers are seamless - AND we can plug equipment into the nodes directly, so we have cameras, for example that use Ethernet connections which are virtually connected to the recorder.

Because this is the tri-band version, there is no contention between the user traffic and the data backhaul, making the system that much faster.

And, we have no more dead spots.

Finally!

I’ve always had issues with WiFi in my home. The problem was always either the signal wasn’t strong enough or slow speeds wouldn’t even let me load a webpage! With Linksys Velop Tri-Band, it fixed it in no time, the setup was stupid easy and I love the quality of the product . This router didn’t just fix the coverage issue in my house, but also made speeds consistent around it and all of my devices feel considerably faster, it’s amazing. If you’re thinking about picking up this product, I would 100% recommend!Read full review...

Excellent Super Fast Open Mesh Router!

This Linksys Velop Wifi Router was easy to set up. I bought only one "node" for $65 less than Best Buy was selling for. This one node covers my 2,000 square foot house, but if needed, other nodes could be connected as it's an "open mesh" system. To set up, I just downloaded the Linksys app from the Google Playstore on my Smartphone and was guided through the installation process with ease. The smartphone app lets you know the speed each device is running on, let's you set up secure guest access and set controls remotely. You can give one device priority over others for added speed. Highly recommended!!Read full review...

A bit spendy, but worth it!

A few years ago, I purchased a Velop system that came with three nodes, but my home (which is three levels) realllly needed one more.

Before Velop, I had a single Wifi router attached to the cable modem at one end of my house, and wireless connnectivity downstairs or in far reaches of the house was NOT great. When I moved to the 3 Node Velop system, it got a LOT better, but sometimes the far reaches of the downstairs would have small issues.

I finally decided to get a 4th node, and it's made all the difference. GREAT reception throughout the entire home. It's price, but really worth it if you have a LOT of devices like my family does - we stream a LOT - more since Quarantine...

Easy

I’ve set up many routers over the years and this one is shockingly easy. It sets itself up. No going on as admin and setting it up. No figuring out what devices can use 5 Ghz and what is 2.4 GHz. One SSDI name and password and you’re done. It figures everything else out.Read full review...

Great Mesh Triband! This is my 4th node

These units have been great and ended up adding a 4th one in my garage to cover ring cameras and outdoor area.

Overall get 370 Mbps on WiFi and wired get my 980 down on gigabit speeds. Highly recommend it just make sure you stick to Triband as the dual band loses too much when adding to the system.Read full review...

Great system that enhances our internet service, instead of hindering it.

Works so much better than what we were using before. We live in a very rural area and have always had internet issues. I was told that we have sufficient Internet Speeds, from our provider, but our router was surprisingly weak. Since we set this system up, which was SO EASY, we have not lost connectivity, regardless of how many things are running at the same time.Read full review...

Easy to add coverage with extra node

Works great to cover our house with solid wifi connectivity. I had a Linksys MR8300 as the primary mesh router and 2 secondary Velop nodes already working, and wanted to improve connection reliability in a spot which had a lot of walls and furniture. I added this extra Velop node to the mesh and now have even more reliable coverage - the whole process took less than 10 minutes.Read full review...
