Maca Magic (Lepidium Peruvianum) Supplement

Don't experiment with it! It sent me to the hospital.

I purchased the Maca Magic because I have been showing signs of pre-menopause. I had all the symptoms mentioned on the site and after reading about how this product to help, I purchased it. The first day I took 1/4 teaspoon like directed and my breast swelled up, my heart was rapid, my lungs hurt but I was alert and able to focus. The following day I took 1/8 teaspoon because I figured I had taken too much the day before and I had the exact same reaction except my heart started to hurt, my circulation was poor and my right hand tingled. I stopped taking it, immediately. Two days later I started my menstrual cycle which was odd because I was 3 weeks from the days I normally have it. Went to the doctor after a week because I continued to have chest pain and poor circulation and found out my blood pressure was 190/50 and I was taken to the hospital. They ran some studies to see if I was having a heart attack and any blood clots because my leg started to hurt. The concern was that the estrogen level may be too high for my body (because of my hormone levels) and cause blood clots. This is also what caused me to have two periods. I was given medication to bring my blood pressure down which helped with the blood flow, chest pain, and leg pain. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
