FALLS SHORT ON RESULTS

Netgear's instructions are convoluted; they omit qualifying installation details from a proper order and you wind up redoing your install as a result. I have a dual band wireless router and despite what the instructions indicate, each band is not supported equally, often not at all. On top of that, the device did not "extend" the range of my wireless router, it simply made it somewhat stronger at random times. Regarding this evaluation format, how would I know if it's "of good quality"? Does the qualifier "quality" relate to performance or how the thing's actually constructed? I attempted to find the best device within my budget for the project. This item falls far short of reaching that objective. It's not the vendor's responsibility, so the problem doesn't like there. Good strong wifi repeater but I had an issue with it

Unit puts out a strong signal and is faster on the 5ghz band than the source router.

My beef with this unit is that when the source router went down, I had to do a factory reset to regain internet access. Seems difficult in this situation.
