Good idea, bad choice of power.

I absolutely loved this helmet light until I discovered the power source is not rechargeable! Beware! You cannot use a rechargeable CR 123 battery (if you can find one that will fit) without damaging the light. But it doesn't say that in the instructions warnings. I had to dig deep online to find that out at the companies devise/battery application chart. Why would they design a light for professionals and choose this power source? Other than that I would give it a 5. At rated 3 hour run time I will go broke trying to keep the light on!

Dual angle light is ideal

I have been searching for a helmet light for sometime and I am so happy that I found this one. The major selling point for me was the dual angle lights. Having been on the receiving end of helmet lights shined right in my eyes the fact that this light gives you an option for a straight ahead beam and/or one that shines down toward the ground in front of your is wonderful. Since I have been using mine I have had a couple of others ask me where I got it because they want to switch out from the helmet light that they currently have to this one. They are using a very popular name brand light that cost s a considerable amount more than this one. This light is brighter than the competitors light as well. It was super easy to attach to my helmet and came with two different screw lengths so that it will work with different style helmets. It is also very nice that each of the lights have adjustable brightness settings. This in my opinion will help conserve battery power during times that you will be on scene for extended periods of time. You don't always need the brightest beam and can adjust it to medium or low. I am very satisfied with my helmet light and I recommend it to you without any reservation.Read full review
