I bought the Nokta pinpointer after buying a Sunpow pointer that had an annoying problem. The Nokta is about twice the price, but not twice as hood. It is more stable, but the range, even when set to maximum, is not as good. I have found that the Nokta has a hard time locating items that are more than two inches away in dirt. Read full review

Not having a clear target indication like the Carrot

I just purchased the Nokta Macro pinpointer and it’s not living up to the hype..Sadly.

At the beach, no comparison. It fails. Takes a while to acutely find the target. Unlike the Carrot, it’s pretty instant..
