Brilliant tool

This tool is brilliant because it takes away the blood, sweat and tears from removing door hinges, roll pins or most pegs that are not welded or glued in place. I use this to remove pins from cam locks used to secure Pneumatic hoses on dry bulk tanker truck trailers. Pins that required excessive hammer blows to a punch/pin remover are quickly removed with 3-5 strikes from this tool. Your fingers will no longer be in harms way! The effort required is significantly less than with the hammer and punch method I used in the past. I doesn’t seem like it would have enough umph to get those stubborn pins moving but you would be surprised. It is helpful for setting nails or replacement of hinge pins and roll pins or any type of non delicate friction fitting procedure. Caveat!; Know your material, some materials can be brittle and could send shrapnel flying so wear your PPE. Read full review

Spring Tools Review

These spring tools are the slickest thing since bent nails. Makes setting finish nails clean, easy and fool proof. You can be very precise and set to the exact depth you desire without worrying about slipping and marring the wood around the nail. And so simple to use even I can do it. No batteries or power cords, only a simple to use tool that makes life easier for anyone doing finish work, professional or homeowner alike.Read full review

Sets brads with ease!

The spring tool nail set is a very useful tool for anyone who needs to set brads and finish nails without marring the wood trim. We use air nailers at work and they don't always set the nail far enough in. The nails need to be inset so they can be covered for finish; a hammer and punch often doesn't move the nail or bends it over, the spring set tool gets the job done easily. Very useful tool and at the price even a good investment for occasional hobby or home use.Read full review

Great tools, function as designed and durable

These tools are ingenious. I own some of their other tools and purchased this set because it has a 1/32 punch for setting those miserable 23 gauge pins that don't seat all the way. The spring driven set bends the heads over rather than driving the pin farther into the wood (which is impossible with the 2" pins in normal hardwood) but leave a mark that's much smaller than attempts with a hammer and nail set. The tool design allows for a delicate, very precise set with small pins and brads, and can easily set larger nails like 18 or 16 gauge. I've found so many uses, and all can be done without involving a hammer - so simple and effective. Read full review

Something So Simple

I am a professional mover and I take doors of all-the-time, this spring tool is a big time saver and it really works well - no more using a hammer and screw driver and damaging the hinge pin or the case molding. I also used the nail set and that performed as advertised as well. I wish that they were a little lower in price, but I can say that about almost everything that I buy. I have recommend this to a lot of my friends as it was recommended to me from one of my friends. It is a great tool & something so simple to use.

Sincerely,

Great tool!

I got these tools for removing door hinge pins but the smaller one has come in handy for smaller pins on other applications already. Great idea and surprisingly powerful. I doubted the strike strength of this tool at first but even very old, painted-over pins popped out with a couple of strikes.Read full review

Sure Beats the Hammer

This handy little spring nail set is the way to go when finish nails are not in the whole way. It is especially nice when trying to punch a nail when the piece is not stationary yet. A hammer and punch would normally bounce everything around or apart, but this just kick the nail in, not the hole piece of wood that the nail is in. A must get tool if you do any trim work!Read full review

Good for a few nails

I used this for the first time today and it worked but then I ran into a lot of brad nails that needed set, this thing takes multiple hits and I thought it would be faster to get hammer & punch an it was, this isn't what I was hoping for but I love the convience of having it in back pocket.

Clever and useful item

Very handy item to have with you when doing spackling and wood filling work. Instead of finding a hammer and punch to reset nails or staples that stand proud of the work surface, you just place this tool on the offending fastener, snap it, and it sinks the fastener for filling. I like it a lot.Read full review
