it's a $60 amp, so...
3 of 4 found this helpful not sure where all the "rants and raves about what a great amp this is" come from - this is a low quality amp, PERIOD! I bought it for my winter beater and wasn't expecting much, and that's what it delivered - I have a sub system in everything I own (including my garden tractor), and this is by far the worst amp I own - it doesn't hit hard or sound great and it gets hot and shuts down if you push it (can be fixed/aided by adding fans) - I've been installing and tweaking audio systems for almost 30 years now and I will remember this as one of my disappointments....
I can only assume that the "great reviews" come from someone that doesn't know any different and has nothing else to compare it to... yes it works, yes it is better than nothing, yes it seems OK AT BEST for the money - just saying don't get your hopes up
one of the most annoying things is that there are NO REAL SPECS FOR THIS UNIT! the 1000 watt rating is absolute garbage and a lie! there is no RMS rating, can't find if it's 1 or 2 ohm stable (running mine at 4 ohm to be safe)

great for the money, for a while...
2 of 2 found this helpful this sub is a great value, but not a great sounding sub - I replaced a bad Kicker CVT 6.5 - 2 ohm (10CVT652) with this because the Kicker is obsolete and the new Kicker is almost $100 more than this Pyle, and for my application (the cab of my garden tractor - yes, I have a system in my garden tractor) I wasn't going to pend the extra $$
to sum it up, you get what you pay for - I'm NOT saying it's a bad value, and if you're looking in the low budget category I would suggest it, but it doesn't compare to better subs - it doesn't hit the lows the Kicker did, and it clips at a way lower volume level - I'm hitting it with under 100 watts RMS wired for 2 ohms
this is an update - in under 60 days with limited use(only used when plowing snow), it died - the seller will not offer any help because it wasn't "DOA" the Pyle 1 year warranty is a joke!!!! pay to ship it to them AND include $15 for return shipping!!! for a $12-16 item!!!

1 of 1 found this helpful I've been welding professionally since 1993, I've always used Speedglas and Optrel helmets and they all still work just fine (all my other helmets are 22+ years old) - I was shopping for something new to treat myself, but everything was just a new version of my old helmets until I found this helmet
FINALLY SOMETHING WAS NEW! Super bright light state, true color filter, very lightweight, and it looks good - I bought it without hesitation (since my other Optrel just turned 24 years old and still working just fine)
Now 6 months later I have to say that it's an awesome helmet for the $$ and I recommend it to anyone shopping for a good professional helmet - also it has a 3 year warranty
