The one to beat, in keychain LED flashlights.
I've seen a number of different compact keychain flashlights like this, with this one being the best to date. Most helpful for reading a menu in a dimly-lit restaurant, or zeroing in on where a key needs to go at night. Not a throwaway unit like most, this one has replaceable batteries. One thing could make it better though: I could have sworn that I've seen one of these with a slide activator, rather than having to squeeze it, and keep it pressed.

Your Top Choice for a DVD Player
As Blu Ray gives way to 4K, with other / later tech on the way, DVD players are no longer a hot or current category. That said, I still use mine regularly. As a longtime hobbyist, I've looked into this subject pretty thoroughly, and have owned several other brands and models of player. The Oppo 980 is the best of breed that I ever found. The resolution "up-converting" may be more of an illusory gimmick than anything substantial -- I'm not sure -- but the results are satisfying. Probably one of the player's most important features is its ability to ignore disc region stipulations (this may require a firmware change -- I don't recall, offhand), and to convert PAL format to NTSC within the player (no extra equipment required) and on the fly. This is a real boon for anyone who wishes access to foreign disc titles, and **uncut** original Euro or Asian versions of some notable movies. (There are many fine films that have been utterly ruined for U.S. distribution.)
What else to say ? The remote is a bit on the small side with tiny buttons for some hands, but it's not a major issue. The player can remember where you left off watching a movie, and return there the next day. The USB port for attaching a thumbdrive for playback is a nice feature. It would have been nicer still if the player supported more than just a few video file formats from the USB, or if this feature supported NTFS-formatted sticks -- which it doesn't. I thought so highly of this Oppo model that I went to some lengths to help obtain them for relatives and friends. Oppo has also made superior Blu-Ray players, although the better models of those were far more expensive than most of the competition.

Promising, but with some questions. Time will tell . . . .
This has to be taken as very preliminary, as I've logged very little time with this graphics card so far. The general consensus around was that it should be about the best GPU close to these parameters and cost that one was likely to find. I bought it *NOT* as any sort of gamer, but mainly to try to improve Whisper AI translation processing, which seems to be fairly demanding of computer resources. My main question is of value per $$, depending on what pricing you find on the used market. One possible issue I am noticing is partial-second blackouts before the screen recovers, which it always seems to do.
Pros: Rather Compact, suitable for small form factor systems. Smaller than several other brands / models of a 1050 TI implementation. A low profile bracket might not even be necessary ? No power cable required, runs off the graphics card slot alone. Quiet. Apparently gives off very little heat, so shouldn't require any extra cooling.
Cons: I wouldn't call it inexpensive. Would like to have a better understanding as to whether those "quick blink" blackoluts could be considered normal.
