Compatibility
You'd think these would work with older Chamberlain openers, out of three only functions on one it came with.

Pistol magnet quality
These magnets I ordered are better than expected, they have a recessed hole for the supplied tapered screw, magnet has a soft rubber sleeve over the top and sides to protect from scratches. These are very powerful, the packaging came with some divider cardboard circles the same size as the magnets which I choose to use to lessen the magnetic attraction, without the reduction I was concerned I'b be dragging the nightstand along in my effort to remove the pistol! I placed the cardboard circle under the rubber cover, now, it seems perfect and will hold the Glock 22 with mounted light in a hidden but easily accessible location. (Not secure enough around kids) Going to try in car next! I'd bet two of these would hold a shotgun!
